By Road (from A90 / Aberdeen Highway)
From the A90 Northbound (coming from Dundee or Stonehaven):
Follow the A90 towards Aberdeen.
Take the exit signposted “Cove / Altens” (approximately 3 miles before Aberdeen city centre).
At the roundabout, follow signs for Altens and continue along Souterhead Road.
At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto Hareness Road.
Continue straight — you’ll see signs for The Aberdeen Altens Hotel on your right-hand side.
Turn right into the hotel entrance.
Free on-site parking is available for all guests (over 300 spaces).
From Aberdeen City Centre (approx. 10 minutes):
Head south via Market Street, following signs for A956 / A90 Dundee.
At the Bridge of Dee roundabout, take the third exit towards Stonehaven (A90).
At the Cove / Altens junction, take the left exit, signposted Altens Industrial Estate.
Follow Souterhead Road → Hareness Road to the hotel entrance.

Landmark Tips
The hotel is near Shell UK, Weatherford, and TotalEnergies offices in the Altens Industrial area.
Look out for the large white Altens Hotel signage at the roundabout on Hareness Road.

How to get here
By Train (from Aberdeen Railway Station)
Aberdeen Train Station is located in the city centre (Guild Street, AB11 6LX).
Option 1 – By Taxi (recommended):
Journey time: approx. 10–15 minutes
Estimated fare: £8–£12 each way
Taxis are readily available from the station rank.
Ask for: “The Aberdeen Altens Hotel, on Souterhead Road.”
Option 2 – By Bus:
Take Bus 3 or 3A (First Aberdeen) from Guild Street or Union Street towards Cove / Altens.
Alight at Souterhead Road stop (ask the driver for The Altens Hotel stop).
Walk approx. 5 minutes along Hareness Road — the hotel is clearly signposted.
By Air (for visitors flying in)
Aberdeen International Airport (ABZ) is approx. 30 minutes by taxi from the hotel.
Follow signs for A96 → Aberdeen City Centre, then join A90 Southbound.
Take the Altens / Cove exit, following signs to the hotel.
