Ann was awarded a BEM in the 2025 New Year Honours for services to the Third Sector in West Lothian, recognising her contribution to strengthening the sector’s strategic and operational impact.
Following a 46 year career with Scottish Widows & laterlly Quality Scotland, where she specialised in leadership, change and transformation, she now dedicates her time to voluntary leadership roles across the public and third sectors.
As Chair of her local Carers Centre, a member of West Lothian’s Integration Joint Board and the COSLA Health Board, she champions the rights of unpaid carers, people with disabilities and those whose voices are too often overlooked. She also mentors charity Chairs and CEOs through Charity Leadership Scotland.
