Keynote Speaker: Enterprise and Leadership Pathways Designed for Real Lives

Gael Drummond is Group CEO of Firstport, Scotland’s agency for social entrepreneurs, providing strategic leadership across Firstport, FirstImpact and Impact Investment Partnership Scotland. She oversees governance, organisational strategy and programmes that help people across Scotland establish and grow ventures creating lasting social and environmental impact.

Since joining Firstport in 2014, Gael has held senior leadership roles spanning operations, finance, people development and organisational growth, playing a key role in strengthening support for social entrepreneurs and social enterprises across Scotland. Before joining Firstport, she worked with the City of Edinburgh Council and as Legacy Manager for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, delivering initiatives that created positive opportunities for individuals and communities.

Appointed Group CEO in 2022, Gael works closely with government, partners and the wider enterprise ecosystem to champion social entrepreneurship as a pathway to participation, innovation and inclusive economic growth. She also serves as Executive Chair of Firstport’s Diversity and Inclusion Group, helping to advance equity, representation and opportunity across Scotland’s social enterprise landscape.
